"Star Spangled Shadows" by FAILE

Paper Monster Press released a slew of new works by street artists and their allies: prints, original paintings and a collaborative book of hand made artworks from more than 25 contributors. MOMO unveils a one-off painting on wood, featuring a second collage on the backside for added value. From FAILE comes “Star-Spangled Shadows,” a silk-screened edition of the patriotic painting from the Brooklyn street art duo’s London show last fall. Finally, after four years, comes “Love Sour Love,” a hand-crafted book started by FAILE in 2005 that features original titular-themed artworks by Futura, Judith Supine, Blu, Alex Lukas, Sam3, Borf and Swoon among others. Street Artists Get Lines Crossed in LIC

MOMO and Sam3 finished their first collaborative painting last month, a head-scratching image in an abandoned Long Island City lot. The two street artists freestyled the single line portrait according to MOMO, who’s no stranger to continuous drawings after tagging Manhattan in 2007. Reading Into MOMO

Street artist MOMO is releasing a new book called “3AM-6AM.” The small-format monograph features 160 pages of the Brooklyn-based artist’s colorful street collages, road markings and sculptures, with “some inspiration and life thrown in.” ROJO is releasing the book in an edition of 500, each available for the preorder price of $40.
