Sexing Skeletons Coming to NYC
Morbid pervs rejoice! If NYC’s Museum of Sex wasn’t deathly enough for you, it will be on Oct 5 with the arrival of a merrily fucking bunch of life-size skeletons by French sculptor Jean-Marc Laroche. Crafted from bone-like varnished resin and affixed with steel joints, the Lovers from the Hereafter series features couples busting imaginary genitalia at each other’s hollow pelvic crevices until their jaws hinge-flap sideways, like ahhh, that’s good skeleton lovin.’
A dirty comics retrospective at the Museum of Sex spans from ballooning vintage damsels to R. Crumbs’s charming, drooling misogyny to Marge in Playboy (aaack!!) and all up in the history of sex in cartoons. A new exhibit now on view at the Museum of Sex explores the many ways animals get it on. Did you know male bonobos exchange sugar cane for sex? Pandas watch porn? Camels masturbate with sand? On this “voyeuristic journey into the wild”–that’ll cost you $14.50 a ticket–visitors learn how banana slugs, barnacles, and species with more than three genders engage in hot animal-on-animal sex. The show includes animal sculptures created by Rune Olsen, who reveals of his work: “‘My favorite reaction… is when people see the two gay dolphins having sex, which is so out of this world. They say to me, ‘you know the penis is in the wrong hole, right?’”
