Cops Bust Up Impromptu Manhattan Bridge Party

Late Saturday night, revelers gathered on the Manhattan Bridge pedestrian path for an impromptu party replete with DJs and a booming sound system. Unsurprisingly, the cops busted it up shortly thereafter. We did a little digging on YouTube to find some footage, and the bash looks fun, but exactly as awkward and cramped as you’d expect a rave in a space designed for single-file pedestrians to be. There’s a funny moment when a Q Train rolls by and the passengers gawk at the spectacle, however. See the videos, shot by Scott Lynch for Gothamist, below.
