Yarn Bomb Queen of the Universe Olek premiered her solo exhibition, The End is Far, at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea this week. The show, inspired by her year-long house arrest following a violent altercation with that drunk guy in London, whisks visitors away to Olek’s pink-and-gold camouflage crochet heaven. Expanding on her signature street art style, the work incorporates new techniques Olek learned from several other female artists she visited during recent travels around the world.

From her bold, tongue-in-cheek messages to her doily skulls and butterfly-adorned boxing gloves, themes of “feminine power, and strength” permeate the work.
