Listen In:
Cold Specks Made You a Playlist

April 2, 2013 | Andy Cush

“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.

This week, we have JUNO-nominated “doom soul” singer-songwriter Cold Specks, who selected music from artists as wide-ranging as Nick Cave, Portishead, and ’90s Canadian alt-rockers The Inbreds. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist, and scroll down to see and play individual songs.

Cold Specks is currently on tour with Jim James of My Morning Jacket and will be playing two NYC shows April 29–a sold out engagement with James at the Bowery Ballroom and another (non-sold out) gig at Pianos later that night.
