Run The Jewels Drops New Album Online, For Free

October 24, 2014 | Prachi Gupta

Though they weren’t the source of the original leak for eponymous album Run The Jewels, El-P and Killer Mike got ahead of the game this time around, releasing their new album RTJ2 online in the wee hours of Friday morning. The album isn’t commercially due out until October 27 by label Mass Appeal Records, but the rappers were too damn excited to wait three more days. In an e-mail sent to their fans, they wrote:

AW FUCK IT. WE CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER.
RUN THE JEWELS AND MASS APPEAL RECORDS ARE PROUD TO PRESENT TO YOU: #RTJ2

We just couldn’t wait another damn day longer to share RTJ2 with you.

Thank you to all the jewel runners worldwide for all your support. It means everything to us. Please enjoy the music. It was made for you.

The album features collaborations with Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. You can download it here, and then feel like a champion as Run the Jewels thanks all of you brave internet warriors for listening to their music:

If you want to support these guys with some money, consider downloading the album on iTunes for $9.99. It includes a bonus track not available on the free download.
