Just in case you were planning on taking a fun-filled vacation to Gaza, the U.S. State Department has a word of warning: don’t, especially if sailing is involved, you could be killed by Israeli commandos.
As if conditions in Gaza couldn’t get any more 10th century, it’s being reported that Hamas militants banned male hairdressers from touching women’s hair. A Palestinian civil rights group told the AP that five men were detained and told to never work in a salon again. Per the current laws, females can’t smoke hookahs with males or ride on mopeds with them, but intimate contact during birth is still permitted.

Ever since their brutal attack on a humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza, Israel’s government press office has been in spin mode. As if life in the Gaza Strip wasn’t miserable enough, Hamas leaders seized and destroyed all the Tramadol, a painkiller Palestinians frequently abuse like Americans do OxyContin, Percocet, Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, etc… They also confiscated the cigarettes. This past Saturday, demonstrators marched on the United Nations in New York City to protest the recent invasion of Gaza by Israel. Men, women, children and even a strange branch of Hasidic Jews came out protest against the heavy handed escalation.
