Last Night’s Big Winner: ‘Marijuana Policy’


The Marijuana Policy Project is claiming some major victories after two states overwhelmingly passed progressive initiatives they proposed. Voters in Massachusetts approved a measure that decriminalizes small amounts of weed, thereby removing the threat of arrest for possession of an ounce or less. In Michigan, a proposal to green light medical marijuana was supported, and patients will be “authorized to cultivate, possess and use marijuana without fear of prosecution under state law.” Here’s a handy chart of other “marijuana-related ballot initiatives” and their mostly positive results. |WSJ|
