You’ll no longer be able to crash your car into the terminals at New York’s three local airports after the Port Authority installs new protective barriers. Seriously, why even go to the airport now? The barriers cost $120.4 million–money that comes from passengers’ fees, reports the Mike Bloomberg Plain-Dealer. Has a car ever crashed into a local airport terminal? Adding to the comic-tragedy that is Newark airport’s security, ABC News says a set of surveillance cameras weren’t working when a man waltzed past a guard into a “sterile” zone without being screened, causing chaos and mass hysteria. So basically no footage could be reviewed. Even worse, no one really knows who is responsible for fixing them. |ABC News|
