January 6, 2015 | Prachi Gupta

Whole Foods has suspended employees who were caught on video beating up a man outside of its Union Square location, reports GrubStreet. The disturbing footage from December 30th recently surfaced on LiveLeak, and has since gone viral. In it, a man who self-identifies as a veteran can be seen being forced out of the store, which was reportedly closed at the time, with someone saying, “You want to be a fucking tough guy? Get the fuck out of here.” The altercation turned into a full-out brawl in the five-minute video.

Whole Foods has responded by suspending the employees in the video:

Whole Foods Market is aware of the incident that took place in front of our Union Square store after hours on December 30th. The team members identified so far in the video have been placed on administrative leave while we complete our internal investigation. We take all incidents involving team members, customers and members of our community seriously and consider safety and security a top priority.
