So, this is a bit conflicting. Here’s a recently released book from photographer Scott Hocking: BAD GRAFFITI.
Ahem ahem.
BAD GRAFFITI is a current photography series focusing on the vulgar, juvenile, poorly scrawled, often misspelled, ignorant, ridiculous, hilarious, bad-ass, so-bad-its-good, under-the-radar, and generally dismissed as shitty graffiti that I love throughout Detroit.
For one thing, there’s a lot of hilarious pedestrian graffiti here. Boob jokes, dick jokes, he-he-hes for all, and then a certain almost found outsider art quality of madness, like the sort of notes you find scribbled in pages of library books sometimes.
But then again, “bad” is so subjective when it comes to graffiti… And it’s a little bit ruins porny. A little bit too ha-haw look at that terrible abandoned house, field, field… No?
