“Blue Fairy” Arrested in Staten Island Drug Bust

February 15, 2013 | Andy Cush

It’s no secret that Staten Island has a painkiller problem. White Trash Clan, a hip-hop crew from the island (who must have taken name inspiration from Shaolin’s most famous rap export) sought to propagate S.I.’s image as the oxy-addled borough with their song “My World Is Blue,” a low-budget tribute to prescription drug use and abuse–and now, one of their own has been arrested.

Sharissa Turk, 22, was arrested as part of a larger $17,000 bust after allegedly selling Oxycodone to undercover police several times. She also played a pill-popping fairy in the “My World Is Blue” video, which, astoundingly, is still online. And the bust was a big one. From DNAinfo:

Drugs seized at 12 different locations during the investigation include 595 Oxycodone pills, 300 Vicodin pills, 300 Xanax pills, 250 grams of cocaine, 209 glassines of heroin and 16 ounces of marijuana, the NYPD said.

The recovered weapons include a loaded .380-caliber semi-automatic Keltec handgun, a loaded .40-caliber Smith and Wesson semi-automatic, a .45-caliber Colt semi-automatic and a Mossberg pistol grip shotgun, police said.
