If you’re looking for an adult dog to adopt, consider Bruno, a 7-1/2-year-old Rottweiler who lost his home Hurricane Sandy. As did his owner, who is unfortunately living out of a car while looking for work: “During their visits, Rogers says both the owner and the Rottweiler cry. Afterward, Bruno howls for half an hour.”
The reason for urgency is because Bruno’s the last dog in the shelter for Hurricane Sandy canines, and the shelter will be closing next week. Tick tock! The description on the Nassau County SPCA page describes Bruno as “good” and “intelligent.” So, if you’re in the area and want a mature dog in your life, adopt this dude.
