24-Hour Bike Part Vending Machines Popping Up in Brooklyn

June 3, 2013 | Kyle Chayka

The anticipated dread of getting a flat tire can surely spoil an otherwise enjoyable bike ride. Thankfully, there’s a new service pioneered by cyclist Shimon Kivman. Express Biker is, essentially, a vending machine made with bike riders in mind, providing items gearing toward the daily needs of rider — from tubes to lights to patch kits and more.

Each of these machines will have items geared towards their specific locations.

While there may only be two of these vending machines currently in operation, Express Biker urges you to contact your local 24-hour businesses in hopes of making this clever idea a ubiquitous fixture throughout the city.
