First Absolut tried to “pour one out” for 5 Pointz while the wound was still raw, and yesterday, Jolly Rancher attempted the same folly. Twitter user @mybodystory alerted us to the corporate infraction, which depicted the candy as some sort of hallucination-inducing substance capable of seeing past the whitewashing that the soon-to-be demolished aerosol playground was subjected to:

The Hershey’s owned brand quickly retracted its tweet and said sorry:
We apologize for our tweet re: @5PointzNYC. We meant no disrespect to the area or artists. The tweet has been deleted.

You know what would more effective than an apology? A check, because the alternative is equally as tragic.
