This weekend, Tommy Ramone died from bile duct cancer at his apartment in New York. The seminal punk band’s first drummer and producer appeared on the first three albums — Ramones (1976), Leave Home (1977) and Rocket To Russia (1977). He also managed the band for awhile and was known as “the sensible one.” By all accounts, a genuinely nice dude. Via Letters of Note, here’s the Ramones’ first ever bio, written by Tommy Ramone in 1975. RIP!
