Listen In: Pictureplane Made You A Playlist

August 19, 2014 | Sophie Weiner

Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist or scroll down to see and hear individual tracks.

This week, electronic musician, artist, designer and founder of witch house, Travis Egedy aka Pictureplane has picked out some tracks for you. From the meditative looping of guitar prodigy Dustin Wong, to the eerie croons of Fatima Al Qadiri and The Soft Pink Truth’s abrasive cover of Venom’s “Black Metal,” there’s plenty for everyone here. Egedy tells ANIMAL:

These are just a bunch of songs that have been either influencing me or inspiring me lately. Giving me life, giving me feels. As usual for me, my tastes are all over the place. Music will never not be a fascination for me, and all of these songs are moments of pure brilliance and show the beauty that is possible for humanity to create.
