YouTube Takes Down Viral “Why Starbucks Spells Your Name Wrong” Video, Here It Is

September 12, 2014 | Marina Galperina

Comedian Paul Gale’s “Why Starbucks Spells Your Name Wrong” video got five million hits in less than three days after being posted on Monday. Everybody loves it. Look, that’s a BuzzFeed gif. Wow. And then it was taken down from YouTube for the cover of a Conway Twitty song. Aw, shit. But it’s embedded below via Facebook. Yey. Based on a monologue by writer John Purcell (acting as “John” at the end), it was adapted and hilariously acted by Paul Gale, collaborating with DP/director TJ Misny and scores of solid extras. See it embedded below. UPDATE: The video and it’s million of views has been reinstated by YouTube after Gale did what he should have done in the first place.

Paul Gate’s Her Parody: Him (featuring “Seth Rogen”)  parody was great too, but there was a special magic in this one. Millions of hits. How do you feel about that, Paul? “Grateful, overwhelmed, and excited. When the Internet likes something you made, it can keep you up for days on end, bb,” he tells ANIMAL. Congratulations on making internet, Paul.
