Listen In: The Love Supreme Made You A Playlist

September 23, 2014 | Rhett Jones

“Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist or scroll down to see and hear individual tracks.

Today’s playlist comes to you from Tim Pioppo who, along with a cast of incredible musicians, makes crazy authentic soul in Brooklyn-and-beyond as the Love Supreme. Tim’s put together a playlist of what is, in his words, “a weird mix of rare soul, outsider 90s stuff, and 80s jams.” The Love Supreme will be playing Baby’s All Right on Saturday, October 18th and Tim will be DJing at Alaska every Sunday from 6pm-10pm.
