Afroduck, The Guy Who Did 24-Minute Lap Around Manhattan Convicted, Missing

November 6, 2014 | Rhett Jones

Last time Afroduck was in the news, he was making fun of a cop who tried to beat his record-setting 24-minute lap around the borough of Manhattan. That cop didn’t beat him, but it’s probably safe to say Afroduck (Adam Tang) isn’t laughing much today; he was just convicted of reckless driving and faces up to a year in prison.

As of Wednesday, Tang has been missing and a bench warrant was issued because of his absence. As a Canadian citizen, it’s possible he skipped off to the land of moose and hockey. Sentencing isn’t until December 8th, but if he shows up in the meantime, there could be bail-jumping charges added on.
