Eminem Is Finally Rapping Like Eminem Again

November 11, 2014 | Bucky Turco

To promote his soon to be released album, Shady XV, rapper Eminem released a new video featuring himself and others spitting acapella verses for 18 minutes straight, but it’s the following 13-second snippet that has lots of people talking:

I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice / Play nice, bitch I’ll punch Lana Del Ray in the face twice like Ray Rice / in broad daylight / in plain sight of elevator surveillance / ’til the head is bangin’ on the railin’ / then celebrate with the Ravens.

Getting back to his roots, the explicit lyrics are unapologetic, indefensible, and certifiably Slim Shady, the evil alter ego Eminem scared so many parental groups with when he first debuted the unrepentant persona in 1999. The new album drops November 24.
