Alice Walker, author of The Color Purple and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, has come out in support of David Icke’s theory that Reptilians run the world. Reptilians are the giant lizard people that run the world while wearing human disguises. Here’s one conspiracy site‘s rundown of their characteristics:
Typically, Reptilians are described as 6 to 8 feet tall, bipedal, having scaly green skin, have a bad odor, have large eyes usually yellow or gold with a vertical pupil. They are sometimes linked to myths about ancient astronauts who allegedly came to Earth to seed the planet and promised to return one day. No one is coming back.
According to a poll from 2013, twelve million Americans believe in Reptilians.
Walker, for her part, sees the whole theory as a “a feast for the imagination” and took to her blog to defend her endorsement of Icke’s theories.
Recently I’ve taken a few knocks for my liking of David Icke. Well, I can’t help liking him, he’s got cojones for days. Seen many of those lately not backed up by missiles and tanks? … Take it or leave it, he is offering something extremely timely and useful. A completely new and different way to understand the world. And if you love mythology, as I do, you will have a fine time seeing how a new myth, with us in it (!) might be made. Though Icke isn’t talking about myth, but reality. Still, for some this will seem very far out, and way beyond the safety net of Joseph Campbell.
On the reptile issue, which seems to freak most people out, and while pondering the deep-rooted causes of the suffering of our people and our planet, I think: this paradise certainly didn’t get ruined by people who acted like the angels various religions have imposed on our thoughts: who else could those “angels” have been, but winged, highly technologically advanced, shape-shifting Reptilians from another galaxy? Ah, madness. Yes. Wonderful stuff.
Okay, so Walker really sees it all as a sort of way to break out of our rigid mindsets and use our imagination to explain the madness of the world. You can read her full, entertaining explanation here. It’s pretty great to see an older established person be open-minded with a dark sense of humor. Or MAYBE she IS a Reptilian hiding her presence behind myth and metaphor.
The fact is, if Reptilians aren’t real, then why wouldn’t Donald Rumsfeld deny that he is one of them when Louis C.K. repeatedly asked him? Hear that interview for yourself below and you be the judge.
