Several subway lines were severely delayed on Thursday evening due to all sorts of problems, reports, well, everyone. There was a manhole fire that caused signal problems near the West Fourth Street station, a track fire on the 7 line, more signal problems on the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lines, and even a door opened trackside on the shuttle at Times Square. Miraculously, no one tumbled out. Most of the other issues were fixed within a couple of hours, with only a few problems reportedly lingering his morning.
