One World Trade Center Tenants Have A Rat Problem

December 12, 2014 | Rhett Jones

Some high-profile members of Conde Nast are saying the seemingly always troubled building of One World Trade Center now has a rat problem. The magazine publisher is the first to take up occupancy in the $3.9 billion skyscraper, and Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair tells the Daily News that a substantial rat problem has been persistent.

Though Carter seems to have a sense of humor about it, saying “They’re rats! What do you think?” when asked about whether they are disgusting, a different source gets more detailed:

A bunch ate through the ceiling of a sports editor’s office and crawled all over his desk and left poops on his keyboard. They ate through his rug to fit under his door.

Poops on the keyboard!!!!

The notoriously grumpy editor of Vogue, Anna Wintour, reportedly won’t go to the building anymore and staff members have been forbidden to eat at their desk.

Sources say the publisher is headed to the health department to file a formal complaint. The managers of the luxury office building didn’t respond for comment.
