Death Grips Aren’t Dead Yet, Hear A Surprise New Album For Free

January 5, 2015 | Rhett Jones

It seems that reports of Death Grips’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Although the group announced their break up back in July, they dropped a new instrumental album last night, titled “Fashion Week.” Each track is named “Runway,” followed by a single letter. When the letters are put together, they spell JENNY DEATH WHEN, an apparent reference to their previously announced final album, “Jenny Death,” which Amazon lists as coming on February 10th.

While a Death Grips album without vocalist MC Ride spitting insane, aggressive shit might feel like only half the package, “Fashion Week,” is very much the real deal. MC Ride and drummer Zach Hill have always gotten most of the press and attention, but third member Andy Morin has always been incredible and he gets to shine here. You can download the full album for free here or listen to the embed by clicking that big play button above.
