Forget About the Kids Subway Surfing, What’s Up With This Spooky Skull Under the Train?

March 25, 2015 | Liam Mathews

A photo of kids hitching a ride on the back of a subway train on Monday went modestly viral because of how dumb the kids were being, but eagle-eyed viewers noticed something much more deathly and disturbing in the photo: the spooky SKULL under the train.

The creepy robot voice in news UK’s video implies that it’s the ghost of a woman who was fatally struck by a 1 train earlier on that same day.

What the hell is that spooky skull? Is it a ghost? Is it some Illuminati symbol? Is it a warning from the MTA to keep people from surfing the train?

Whatever it is, don’t email us and tell us, because we don’t care about what it actually is. We don’t want to solve the Mystery of the Spooky Skull, we just want to enjoy it (Okay, fine, if you know why the hitch or whatever it is looks like that, e-mail tips@animalnewyork.com).
