Hours ahead of her announcement for presidential candidacy on Sunday, street art about Hillary Clinton’s campaign cropped up in Brooklyn Saturday night, reported The Weekly Standard. Clinton recently opened her campaign’s headquarters in Brooklyn. The art was well organized, mounted with hooks at impressive heights, including in-line with a traffic light.
The posters read “Don’t Say Entitled” and “Don’t Say Secretive,” among other slogans that use words flagged as “coded sexism” by a group of volunteers known as HRC Super Volunteers.
Several outlets have reported that the posters are “Anti-Hillary” posters, however.
In March, the group said they will be “watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism,” arguing that the media would use words like “polarizing, calculating, disingenuous, insincere, ambitious, inevitable, entitled, over confident” and “secretive” to describe Clinton, but not her male counterparts, on account of Clinton being a woman.
