The Upper West Side coyote has grown more brazen, venturing out from the wooded parkland and into the middle of Riverside Drive Thursday night. NBC New York got footage of the coyote trotting down the street like a jogger who thinks he’s too fast for the sidewalk. This is now the third night this coyote has eluded capture, in addition to all the other recent NYC coyote events. Gothamist collected a bunch of people tweeting about seeing the coyote at various locations all over the UWS, from the 80s all the way to the 120s. The coyote can’t be stopped! It’s taking to the streets! You can build as many luxury condos as you want, nature will still find its way in.
Seeing the coyote in the middle of the street is worrying, though. I hope the coyote is apprehended safely before it gets hit by a car.
