Future Upper East Side anthropologists take note: there’s a “Sugar Daddy” party happening tonight in Midtown, and there likely are few better spots to spy on Manhattan’s worst than at this event. DNAinfo reports that, according to party promoter (and Sugar Daddy University founder) Alan “Action” Schneider, it’s “the first Sugar Daddy Party Business Mixer in South New York City’s history.”
Schneider is recruiting rich men and fertile young women for an historic event that he calls “a throwback to tradition and the basis of the notion that good relationships require absolute reciprocity and mutual enrichment and equity.”
What I really want to talk about, though, is the terrible Photoshop job for the event’s flier, which doesn’t seem like the sort of thing that would anyone could possibly take seriously. There are lightning bolts shooting out of the letters TCB, which stands for “Taking Care of Business.” Schneider is pointing at YOU, like a real modern day Uncle Sam. It looks like an ad for a dieting pill that claims to also give you psychokinetic powers. But hey, what do I know? I am clearly not Schneider’s clientele. He says that over 300 people have RSVPed, so far, at $50 and $35 a ticket for every man and woman, respectively.
