Meanwhile a guy named Joe Lhota won the Republican ticket. In the race for comptroller, Scott Stringer beat out Eliot Spitzer. Only the candidates for public advocate, City Councilwoman Letitia James and state Sen. Daniel Squadron, will face a runoff election that is expected to cost $20 million. But most importantly, City Council Speaker and Bloomberg puppet, Christine Quinn, won’t be winning anything.
