Listen In” is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.

Crystal Stilts’ signature sound involves blanketing classic doo-wop and rock-and-roll sounds with an almost-imperceptible layer of dread, and accordingly, their playlist dips into the weirder corners of summer-of-love jangle. There are good trips and bad, as well as detours into reggae and country.

Crystal Stilts will open for Deerhunter for two nights at Webster Hall this month, and their new album, Nature Noir, arrives via Sacred Bones September 17.
