Following a deadly terrorist attack and the largest public demonstration France has ever seen, satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo has bounced back with fists in the air, selling out at 3 million copies on Wednesday. The demand is so high that it’s being offered in 16 different languages, now raised to 5 million copies. Someone on eBay is even asking $14,672 for it.
Previous Hebdo issues contain images that many news outlets have deemed bigoted and offensive. ANIMAL has found what appears to be the current issue (we are reaching out to Charlie Hedbo’s publisher for comment and are waiting to hear back). We present it in its entirety, without comment, at the bottom of this post. Francophiles, translate at will.
Update: We are in the process of translating the cartoons, and will post them here in the coming hours.
