Bench Offers A Dim View

This bench set amongst these oddly placed boulders is part of the continuing upgrade of the bike/pedestrian path that runs along the East River. This mini-oasis of rock and stone is located at East 23rd and the F.D.R. and offers the physically active a spot to rest their legs or stretch out. Although it’s only yards from the waterfront and in theory could have provided some really picturesque views, whoever planned the space centered the line of sight on something less than desirable.
