Video of ‘The Dark Knight’ Getting Bombed In LA

A studious commenter points us to this awesome graffiti video—sans the techno-trippy soundtrack—of that Dark Knight‘ billboard in LA we showed you getting bombed up by the Seventh Letter crew, time lapse footage included. As someone noted, check out the graffiti crew’s exclusive spray paint splattering fat caps that are perfect way to mark the occasion. Press play and watch their creatively destructive handiwork in action. |KnownGallery|

LA Graffiti Writers Also Like To Bomb ‘The Dark Knight’

The Dark Knight hype continues to build from coast to coast. And while the imminent release of this movie is a big thrill for comic book nerds and Batman fans alike, for others it’s just another big ass canvas to tag. While we’ve got Money (there’s no denying whose really behind that “M,” but we’re not helping the vandal squad) bombing Batman billboards in Brooklyn, the West Coast has got AUGOR (left) and REVOK (right) doing the same in LA.

Graffiti Writer Wastes No Time Taking Billboard Back

It was just last week that we showed you the graffiti bombed billboards running alongside the Williamsburg Bridge. Well, that “Get Smart’ ad was replaced with one for ‘The Dark Knight’ and MONEY (that “M” looks awfully familiar) wasted no time hitting it again. Which makes sense, cause chances are Vista Media, who manages the sign, is not climbing their asses back up to fix it. This billboard has been quite popular with both superheroes and graffiti vandals alike, with RAMBO bombing Superman and NECKFACE assaulting the previous Batman.

Kate Moss Gets Lichtenstein’d In London

While the Decapitator is roaming around the streets of London removing celebrity heads from advertisements, artist James Cauty incorporates them into his work. He recently “liberated” a few billboards on the East End, one of them featuring a Roy Lichtenstein-esque Kate Moss fawning over the artist’s work. Perfecting the art of self-promotion, each kidnapped ad space included a website URL too. |Supertouch|

Decapitator Cuts Off ‘Sex and the City’ Star’s Head

Advertisement reworking artist the Decaptitator strikes again. This time the head removing vandal hit this massive billboard on the streets of London for the just released, estrogen-laden movie of the year: Sex and the City. As you can see, he did a good job of removing Carrie Bradshaw’s head, thereby creating a visual metaphor for how much we really care about this media hyped, cinematic version of Cosmo magazine. |Supertouch|
