Here are some merry gents from the Czech Republic who observed a gigantic, mechanically rotating, three-sided billboard and saw a prime opportunity for an unauthorized DIY carousel. Watch ‘em climb, hoist themselves down with some rope and spin.  Read more »

John Baldessari’s $100,000 ‘Bill Board’ at the High Line

Since David Byrne shoved a moaning planet under the High Line, we’ve been waiting for another festive spruce-up and you can’t really get more festive than a giant $100,000 dollar bill, thanks to the never-boring art stalwart John Baldessari. Excellent. Also, nauseating. Read more »

Offensive Anti-Abortion Billboard in SoHo is Down

That exploitative anti-abortion billboard in SoHo has been taken down by Lamar Outdoor advertising company after public outrage. The child model’s mom was “devastated” and surprised by the billboard because she “would never endorse something like that” and wants an apology. Calvin Klein Ends Freedom-Killing Mind Control

Calvin Klein has gone and switched up their Houston Street billboard, replacing the image of topless teens making out with a bikini-clad model. While it’s doubtful the small controversy surrounding the old billboard had anything to do with the change, at least Virginia-based conservative columnist Erika Lassen can take comfort in the fact that the freedom-inhibiting ad will not be putting mind control over anyone like it did to her. |Ramble on Rose|

Kaws’ Sperm Coling Kanye Art Erected On NYC Billboard

Here’s a newly installed billboard in Times Square that features the Kaws sperm art wrapped around Kanye West that, as we’ve previously noted, used to exclusively entangle supermodels. The rapper-singer commissioned the artist to create the cover art for his latest album: “808s and Heartbreak.”
