With activist climbers like the French Spiderman (and that copycat guy) getting the equivalent of a parking ticket after scaling the New York Times Building, officials are hoping to change that with some tougher laws: “[T]he City Council on Thursday unveiled bill No. 721 — call it the anti-Spidey law — which would make it illegal to scale or jump from a building 25 feet or taller.” Graffiti hating posturer Peter Vallone proposed the bill and hopes to raise the fine to a Class A misdemeanor. |NYT|
With all the problems facing New York State, it’s amazing how the politicians spend their time with frivolous legislation, like this moron: “A new bill raised by Republican senator Andrew Lanza proposes that the rating of every game sold in New York State should be made mandatory. At the moment, the Entertainment Software Rating Board classifies games on a purely voluntary basis, but this new bill could change that.” If Paterson agrees, it could be law by 2010, and the youth will finally be safe. |GameZine|
