Bible Rewriting Artist Raises E.V.E. From the Dead

So here she is. After months of sneak peeks and in progress previews, this is the fully recognized E.V.E. project pieced together by roadkill artist Nate Hill. Sewn together with fishing line in some areas, the human-sized female sculpture is made entirely out of an assortment of animal parts mostly found in trash bins around NYC. Roadkill Artist Readies Celebration of All Hallows ‘E.V.E.’

This Friday, artist Nate Hill will fully unveil his E.V.E. project, the life-sized female sculpture created entirely from dead animal parts. For the past six months, he’s been assembling her from a litter of species, including a: bird, buffalo, cat, cow, coyote, dog, fish, lobster, octopus, ox, pig, rabbit, shrimp, and squirrel. We’ve seen E.V.E.’s hand, head, and now get a peek of her breasts. The handsewn carcass collage-sculpture will be displayed at the Silent Barn in Bushwood and is certain to smell quite ripe, so an empty stomach is recommended. |YM|

Roadkill Artist To Unveil New Work On Halloween


Artist Nate Hill, who uses dead animal parts as his medium, has found a willing space to unveil his E.V.E. project. Months back we took a look at her lovely head and a newly constructed hand, but have yet to see the full life-sized body. Sewn together from discarded carcasses, the female counterpart to his A.D.A.M. sculpture will be officially displayed on Halloween at The Silent Barn on the Bushwick/Ridgewood border. BYOB and a strong stomach.

E.V.E.’s Dead Animal Head Unveiled

Last time we checked in with dead creature rearranging artist Nate Hill, he announced his plans for building a life-sized female sculpture from found dead animal parts. On schedule, Hill released this video to of the head to showcase his progression and as a bizarre Father’ Day Gift to his pops, who likes “African Art.” We’re looking forward to the fully completed sewn up female, it’s like watching creation in action. |YM|

After successfully creating A.D.A.M. (A Dead Animal Man), a life-sized human sculpture out of found dead animal parts, the Bible rewriting, animal combining artist Nate Hill is now working on a female version he calls E.V.E. (Earthly View of Eden). Like her Garden of Eden counterpart, the theological temptress will be created from sewn together carcasses. Hill expects to have the woman fully constructed sometime in September, although he’s still looking for some good advice on the best dead animals for making eyelashes. |YM|
