Just so you can fill your daily quota of listening to an old person wistfully remembering the good ole days, here is semi-blowhardy writer person Gay Talese explaining how the technological innovations, in this case the tape recorder, have “killed journalism,” i.e. made it impossible for him and others of his ilk to get magazine editors to dish out thousands of dollars on airfare, 4-star hotel suites and expensive dinners to obtain a story.
