Tomorrow, on what would have been his 51st birthday, as many as 10,000 Michael Jackson fans are expected to swarm Prospect Park in celebration of the pop star’s troubled life. After Borough President Marty Markowitz declares it Michael Jackson Day, Rev. Al Sharpton will lead a prayer and Councilmember Letitia James will continue petitioning the MTA to memorialize the King of Pop. |NYT|

We hear Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz set aside his flailing mayoral bid, and high tailed it down to Coney Island on July 9 to meet the Playboy Playmates starring in reality show series The Girls Next Door. Although he won’t be making a debut on what could be one the of dopiest shows ever broadcast, he did appear with Hef’s babes and had his photographer shoot some images of them. And not to get all PageSixy, but according to our gossip gatherer, it wasn’t so much Party Marty’s fantasy of riding the Cyclone with Bridget or Holly propped on his lap, rather his wife being a huge fan of the E! network show. But judging from this photo, he looks plenty motivated on his own. More photos of the Bunnies walking the famed boardwalk below.
