Hot97 DJ Funk Flex dropped bombs during his radio show tonight in support of his man, ‘The Finisher’ Mister Cee, after Power105.1 did what any rival radio station would do… they went in deep on the renowned DJ’s arrest. Naturally, Flex was outraged and let the sound effects and words fly. But as details surrounding the case seem to get uglier by the hour, does he really want to be one in the driver’s seat?
Although his account hasn’t officially been verified yet, it appears that hip hop legend @Mister Cee is on Twitter and wasting no time addressing the gay sex gossip. Although the DJ doesn’t deny getting arrested—like ANIMAL confirmed—he said the rumors are false and a conspiracy. “Time to get this shit cleared up so make it quick cause i aint feeling this Twitter shit NYPD has a detective squad after all Rappers & DJ’S,” wrote Cee in one entry. This past Friday night, Jay-Z debuted a game-changing street single called “D.O.A.” (Death of Auto-Tune) that sent the Hip Hop community into a tizzy, but not without some controversy. For the uninitiated, Auto-Tune is a popular program most associated with making artists sound like robots and while R&B singer T-Pain is often regarded as the most frequent offender, it has spread like a virus across the industry with lots of rappers using it too. Anyway, while some people were arguing whether or not No I.D. solely produced the track or why Kanye West would be involved in the first place after the liberal amounts of Auto-Tune he put down on his last album, others were thinking what a sad comedy it was for Hot 97 DJs Funk Flex and Mister Cee to treat the track like it was some sort of dub plate made specifically for them.
