Tween pop music magazine, Smash Hits, which enjoyed some relevancy in the 1980s, will publish a “one-off special issue” to profit from commemorate Michael Jackson’s death. The Bauer Media owned title folded in 2006 after a 28 year run, but is hoping the King of Pop can breathe some life into newsstand sales. In keeping with the vintage vibe, they even brought back Barry McIlherney, a British journalist who helmed the magazine back in 1986 to edit the 52-page tribute. |MagCulture|
