Invader Descends On São Paulo

Invader has returned to São Paulo with more of his signature mosaic minions. From a subtle 8-bit Brazilian flag tucked away up on a busy street corner to obvious and obnoxious large-tile beasts on walls, the French street artist continues his “attack” on the city. After successfully leaving their mark on Sao Paulo’s Biennial exhibit, the wildly independent taggers recently bombed a mural the Brazilian city commissioned that featured the likes of otherwise respected graffiti artists such as OS GEMEOS, NUNCA, NINA, and others. Bicyclist Beats Helicopter in Race

It’s no secret that bicycles are one of the quickest ways to travel the city, regularly pedaling faster than cars and transit. But how well would a two-wheeler fare if its competition wasn’t always mired in traffic? The São Paulo Intermodal Challenge made plans to find out, pitting bicycle riders against a helicopter passenger for a point to point race featuring buses, cars, feet, subway and even a wheelchair.
