What an honor! To help promote the sexual stimulant tablet that “Fills your body with energy,” MAXSTLONG designed this packaging featuring Austrian painter Gustav Klimt’s landmark work, “The Kiss,” from his “gold period.” Considering that the people buying this crap probably have no idea about art history and the image really isn’t overtly sexual—except for the man’s forceful domination over the woman—we’re not sure how much cool cache the Klimt image will bode.
Some people aren’t so happy with Jimmy Carter’s decision to meet with Hamas on a recent trip to the Middle East—ya know, who’s got time for diplomacy and all that—and decided to take a shot at the former president via the often, frequently parodied Shepard Fairey campaign poster for Barack Obama. Ironically the presidential hopeful thought the Carter mission was a bad idea too. This one, like Baxter Orr’s reads “DOPE,” although it’s by no means a drug reference, but instead describing a state of intelligence. |ThePeoplesCube|
Shepard Fairey has created a monster. What began as a simple campaign poster for Barack Obama has evolved into a parody enabler. Baxter Orr peddled “DOPE,” and hell, even we offered up “POPE.” But it didn’t stop there. One artist took aim at Hillary with his wonderfully accurate “BITCH” print, while the neocons are turning up the heat, and Obama’s nose with their “SNOB” and “ARUGULA” images. The good news is that no one cares enough about McCain to even bother creating anything—except for this guy of course. |Kickcernak| Jockohomo|
