While perusing Google Maps Street View for an unrelated purpose, we came across this little oddity: when looking at the building at 7427 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge while “standing” on 5th, you see the Chase bank that currently occupies the space. When moving your vantage point to Bay Ridge Parkway, however, you’re treated to a little time warp, as the business morphs into a Washinton Mutual, the building’s former occupant. What’s more: travel further down Bay Ridge Parkway towards 6th Avenue and the Rite Aid across the street turns into an Eckerd, with a “Rite Aid Coming Soon” sign on the wall to boot. Technology: it does funny things sometimes!
