Adam Sandler Arrested for Extorting Girl Scouts

June 6, 2013 | Andy Cush

The story of Adam Sandler (née Dan; not this guy), the man who was arrested for disorderly conduct last year after yelling anti-Semitic rants dressed as Elmo in Times Square, keeps getting stranger. You may recall that before his stint as bad Elmo, Sandler was running a porn site called “Rape Camp” out of Cambodia, which, by all accounts, was just as terrible as it sounds. Now, he’s being accused of using that connection to extort, of all groups, the Girl Scouts of the USA.

Apparently, five years ago, Sandler worked as a programming temp for the organization, and has been threatening to show up at Scouts events holding signs “connecting the Girl Scouts with the Cambodian Rape Camp man,” if he isn’t paid $2 million dollars. Sandler has allegedly been harassing the Scouts since last year, when he began contacting his old supervisor to send racy photos along with things like “Do you think that I am a scary guy? I am just a little different.”

He’s currently being held on $200,000 bail.
