Until this week, a Spider-Man action figure and a dildo hung over a power line at the corner of Bedford Avenue and North 6th Street in Williamsburg. The Daily News, with quotes from “disgusted” New Yorkers, reports that it was mysteriously removed yesterday. However, with its readers’ delicate sensibilities in mind, the paper blurred out the work’s pièce de résistance.
Fortunately, the good people of Twitter and Instagram documented Spidey-Dildo’s heyday well. Here are a few uncensored photos of the good stuff.
Only in Brooklyn you see spider-man with a dildo hanging from a wire… pic.twitter.com/dLcrjjbOkK

For what it’s worth, this isn’t the first time false penises and action figures have turned up hanging from power lines. In September, Bowery Boogie reported on a hanging Barbie-dildo combo on Eldridge Street, and last month a Redditor posted another Spider-Man iteration in what looks like Southern California.
