Kate Steciw was taking her daily jog through Prospect Park when she came upon a very strange sight. Behind a wrought iron fence was what appeared to be a human skeleton standing upright, “wearing a Brooklyn Nets hat, a T-shirt, goggles and sweatpants,” reports NBC. Discovered in the southeastern part of the park near Ocean Avenue, the skeleton was surrounded by several paintings and had an American flag draped behind it.
Steciw called 911 to report the scene and police say they are investigating whether the altar contained real human remains. They don’t believe what she saw is “part of any sort of crime,” but Steciw feels that it looked like a real human skeleton. (Images: @NBCNewYork)
