Weed smoking and street art are two subcultures currently enjoying huge waves of popularity, so it only make sense that someone would combine them both, and that’s exactly what Mighty Tanaka did for its latest offering: collectible glass weed pipes. The Brooklyn gallery commissioned a collaboration between glass artist Zach Puchowitz and street artist L’amour Supreme for its new Glass Pipe Canvas initiative that seeks to “elevate underground glass art as a recognized emerging art movement.” Limited to ten pieces, each one is “individually and uniquely hand collaged.” With its $1000 price tag, however, it may make more sense to treat it like a sculpture than a bong.
