Brooklyn Teen Falls to His Death Trying to Jump Between Buildings

March 13, 2015 | Liam Mathews

A 15-year-old boy fell four stories to his death in Crown Heights Thursday afternoon when he failed to clear the gap while jumping between two adjacent rooftops, the Daily News reports.

Tyhreek Riley was the first of the group of kids on the roof to jump. Sadly, the gap was too wide, and he fell to the alley between the buildings. He died on impact.

“He fell right in front of my kitchen window,” neighbor Nicholas Brown told the Daily News. “It looked like he hit his head on the walls all the way down.”

Brown said he had “admonished” four teens the day before Tyhreek fell for jumping across the gap. Tragically, his worry came true.
