Historic Parts of Mural-Covered Berlin Wall Demolished by Soulless Developers

March 28, 2013 | Julia Dawidowicz

Yesterday morning, Luxury Condo developers succeeded in knocking down the remaining four sections of the Berlin Wall’s mural-covered “East Side Gallery,” marking a bitter loss for the many protestors who have tried to prevent this cultural butchery for about a month now.

Anticipating the outrage that the demolition would cause, 250 police officers gathered on the banks of the River Spree as the historic wall’s longest remaining stretch was destroyed. Well, at least they’ve still got Hitler’s Bunker and wiener schnitzel to keep the tourists at bay…

Gentrification sucks.
